30Acres is Officially B Corp Certified, Here’s What That Really Means

At 30Acres, we’ve always believed in building more than just eCommerce solutions. We’re here to create a business that’s thoughtful, responsible, and driven by values. Today, we’re proud to share that 30Acres is officially B Corp Certified. Wow, it feels good saying it, FINALLY!

This certification recognises companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. But more than a badge or milestone, this journey has been a transformative experience for our team. It’s shaped how we operate, what we prioritise, and the kind of future we want to build.

A milestone years in the making. And just the beginning.

The journey wasn’t easy. And that’s the point.

We began our B Corp journey nearly five years ago. Not because we had it all figured out, but because we knew we wanted to do better. The certification process was rigorous (as it should be). It made us look closely at everything from how we treat our people to our environmental impact, supply chain practices, governance, and community engagement.

And, honestly? It wasn’t easy. We had to have some hard conversations and make meaningful changes. But that’s exactly what made the process worthwhile.

A deeper reflection on who we are

Going through certification forced us to get really clear on what matters most. To us as a team, and to 30Acres as a business.

We asked ourselves:

  • Are we building a culture we’re truly proud of?
  • How do we minimise our footprint as a remote, digital business?
  • What does ethical growth actually look like in eCommerce?

Answering those questions wasn’t always straightforward. But it was necessary. And it led to changes we might not have made otherwise, from refining internal policies to revisiting our goals around sustainability and equity.

It’s not “set and forget”

One of the most powerful things about B Corp certification is that it’s not just a one-time achievement. It’s a commitment to continuous improvement. To maintain our certification, we’ll be reassessed every three years. And we’ll need to keep proving, in measurable ways, that we’re doing business better.

That accountability is something we welcome. It gives us a framework to keep growing, keep questioning, and keep aligning our actions with our values.

What It Means to Us

Becoming B Corp certified has been a collective journey, one that’s shaped not only the business, but also the people behind it. Here’s what a few of our team members had to say about what this milestone means to them.

Paul Fisher | Owner of 30Acres:

"We realised we couldn’t preach to others without first proving we were living up to our own standards. Pursuing B Corp certification became our way to be held accountable while adopting a clear operational framework for ethical business and strong governance."

Lisa Johansson | UX/UI Designer at 30Acres:

"It feels good to be part of a company that values things beyond the numbers. We’re mindful of our impact and being B Corp certified is a reminder that the work we do can serve a greater purpose."

Marie Leclercq | Technical Producer at 30Acres:

"This journey has been such an eye opener into how businesses can create a positive impact not only for the environment but also for communities, workers and suppliers. It's been an honour to be part of the process and strive to do better."

What this means for you

Whether you’re a client, partner, or just someone who’s followed our journey, thank you. Your support is what allows us to continue pushing boundaries, both creatively and consciously.

As we move forward, B Corp will continue to shape how we work with brands, how we build teams, and how we contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive digital economy. This certification is a big step for us. But it’s just one part of a much bigger picture.

We’re excited for what comes next.
