The client

Rhythm https://au.rhythmlivin.com/ Rhythm is a global lifestyle brand influenced by the Australian coast. Since 2003, we’ve created effortless coastal attire synonymous with the alternative surf lifestyle. Designed for considered individuals connected through a shared interest in surfing’s heritage, our growing community of artists, musicians, photographers, surfers, and sun-seekers have been integral to the brand’s evolution. Over the course of 20 years Rhythm has become a renown presence in over 500 retail locations in more than 45 countries, with a flagship store in Burleigh Heads, Australia. Rhythm’s designs are purpose-built for those unafraid to wander off the well-worn path. Determined to uphold its commitment to quality craftmanship, our ethos is derived from the ocean — encouraging the adoption of a creative process that introduces sustainable practices for a better Earth. This is Rhythm.

The brief

Rhythm was looking for a retheme and refresh of their current site with the key focus of this project to lift and elevate the brand experience as well as the user experience, in a way that removed the current conversion barriers and make Rhythm more competitive in a saturated fashion market. To achieve this our first goal was to improve user flows and navigation, implement an elevated and bespoke UI to create more editorial feel to the site, and improve key functionality such as filtering and size guides throughout the site.

How we helped

Redesign and retheme of the site on Shopify store 2.0 

  • Design and development of customised sections for an editorial feel/focus on content.
  • Women’s Swim guide including landing pages and section on product page.
  • Filtering by colour/size.
  • Alternative women swim collection page to allow filtering by swim style.
  • Product page content sections such as women swim guide and complete the look. 
  • Deploy new theme on AU, EU and US stores.

As part of their rebranding effort, they enlisted our help to redesign and re-theme their online store on Shopify 2.0. Our goal was to create an editorial feel that would focus on content and make it easier for visitors to find the products they were looking for. To that end, we designed and developed custom sections for the store, including a women's swim guide with landing pages and a section on the product page. We also added filtering by colour/size for better search results. In addition, we created an alternative women's swim collection page that allowed filtering by swim style. Finally, we deployed the new theme on AU, EU and US stores. Thanks to our efforts, Rhythm's store is now more user-friendly and reflective of their brand identity.
