Gunes Swim | Website Redesign

Website theme upgrade and UI/UX strategy

Our services

The client

Gunes is consciously designed in Australia and sustainably made in India. Gathering inspiration from wanderlust, their ambition was to create the ultimate minimalist wardrobe, starting with swim that could be worn on and off the beach.

The brief

The client’s website was built on an outdated Shopify theme that restricted both functionality and scalability. It lacked support for many of Shopify’s newer features, such as flexible sections, enhanced filtering, and dynamic content capabilities. The user experience was further impacted by inconsistent design elements, poor mobile optimisation, and uneven imagery that disrupted the overall visual appeal. These limitations made it difficult to deliver a seamless shopping experience or adapt the site to evolving customer needs.

How we helped

We recommended upgrading to a Shopify 2.0 theme to leverage its enhanced capabilities. This allowed us to improve site navigation for a more intuitive user experience, update collection structures for better product discovery, and redesign core pages for greater engagement and clarity.

We also introduced a “Bundle and Save” feature to help boost average order value and created a consistent visual style across the site for a cohesive brand experience. The upgrade provided a strong foundation for future growth and a more streamlined customer journey.

The result

The site improvements led to increases in both Add-to-Cart (ATC) rate and Conversion Rate (CVR), resulting in consistent month-over-month sales growth. The newly implemented features also streamlined site management, while ongoing enhancements are expected to support stronger customer retention.

+64% Increase in sales MoM
+57% Increase in ATC Rate
+25% Increase in CVR
