Website Redesign and Subscription: Enhancing User Experience and Boosting Recurring Revenue

The client

Frontier Pets is an Australian-based producer of ethically sourced and sustainable dog and cat food, directly delivered to customers. The company is dedicated to providing high-quality, eco-friendly pet food options.

The brief

Following a recent rebranding project, Frontier Pets wanted their website to reflect their new look and brand identity. The goals for the new site included: Enhancing functionality and incorporating advanced marketing applications. Improving Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). Increasing the subscriber rate to reduce customer churn, as they observed lower churn rates among subscribers compared to non-subscribers.

How we helped

Website Redesign:

30Acres conducted a comprehensive UX and CRO review of Frontier Pets' existing site. The aim was to design a new site that would not only align with the new brand but also significantly increase the conversion rate. Key features introduced included:

  • Feeding Calculator: An interactive tool to help customers determine the appropriate amount of food based on their pet's size.
  • Improved Navigation: Enhanced site navigation to provide a seamless browsing experience.
  • eCommerce Enhancements: Integration of upsell features and an optimised checkout process to boost sales.

Subscription Strategy:

Recognising the importance of increasing subscriber numbers to reduce churn, we focused on upgrading the subscription management system. Having successfully implemented Recharge for several clients, we recommended migrating Frontier Pets' subscriptions to the Recharge platform. This move was aimed at:

  • Providing a more robust and user-friendly subscription experience.
  • Leveraging advanced features to manage subscriptions effectively.
  • Enhancing the overall customer experience to encourage more sign-ups

The result

The new website not only reflected Frontier Pets' rebranded identity but also incorporated advanced functionalities that improved user engagement and conversion rates. The introduction of the feeding calculator, improved navigation, and enhanced eCommerce features contributed to a more user-friendly and efficient site.

Migrating to the Recharge platform streamlined subscription management, resulting in an increase in subscriber numbers and a reduction in churn rates. The improved subscription system provided a better customer experience, encouraging long-term loyalty and recurring revenue.
