Dolcetto Designs is an Australian jewellery brand that blends affordable luxury with a strong commitment to sustainability and ethics. Specialising in bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and charms crafted from recycled metals, enamel, and lab-grown diamonds. With a focus on transparency, ethical sourcing, and environmentally conscious practices, Dolcetto Designs offers timeless pieces that are both stylish and socially responsible

The brief

Dolcetto Designs’ website was migrated from Wix to Shopify to unlock greater scalability, flexibility, and e-commerce functionality. While Wix offered basic website building capabilities, it had limitations in advanced e-commerce features, site performance, customisation, and integrations. Shopify provides a more robust platform for online stores, allowing for new site features including a modern, mobile-first design with enhanced product pages, navigation, and checkout for a seamless shopping experience. The client wanted to ensure the SEO migration was considered to ensure SEO performance was maintained and enhanced.

How we helped

We seamlessly moved the site from Wix to Shopify, transferring all products, collections, customer data, and blog content, ensuring SEO best practices.

Our SEO plan included transferring metadata and resolving heading structure issues, optimising content, and providing recommendations to improve readability and engagement. We reworked the internal linking and overall information architecture (IA) to make navigation more intuitive and support search visibility. Duplicate content issues were addressed to prevent SEO penalties on Shopify, and schema markup was implemented to enhance rich results in search engines. Finally, comprehensive 301 redirects were set up to preserve existing traffic and search rankings, ensuring that all old URLs correctly pointed to their new Shopify counterparts.

The result

As a result of the migration and optimisations, Dolcetto Designs now has a faster, more user-friendly Shopify store with improved navigation, product presentation, and checkout experience. SEO performance was preserved and enhanced to ensure continued visibility in search rankings, while duplicate content issues and technical SEO errors were resolved. The updated site structure and internal linking improved discoverability and engagement, and the implementation of schema markup increased the likelihood of rich results in search engines.

Overall, the brand benefits from a scalable, high-performing e-commerce platform that supports growth and provides a polished, brand-aligned shopping experience for customers.
