To meet these requirements, our development team engineered a sophisticated JavaScript overlay on the Shopify backend. This custom solution allowed for greater flexibility in how products were displayed and how variants were grouped.

Key features included:

• Meta Objects Management: The frontend was set up with meta objects, enabling the Fliteboard team to easily manage and update product variants.
• Real-Time Configuration Updates: As users configured their boards, each selected variant was dynamically reflected in the main hero image, providing a visual confirmation of their choices.
• Dynamic Pricing Integration: Each variant had its own SKU attached, which allowed the price to update automatically as items were selected, ensuring accurate pricing that synced with Fliteboard’s inventory management system.
• Variant Summary: A summary of all selected variants appeared at the bottom of the configurator as users finalised their product choices. This summary dynamically updated based on the user’s selections, ensuring a clear and transparent overview of the customised product.
