Fliteboard, based in Byron Bay, is a leading and rapidly growing eFoil brand known for transforming the watersports industry. Their electric hydrofoil boards offer a unique, eco-friendly experience, allowing riders to "fly" above the water with a blend of cutting-edge technology and sleek design. Fliteboard has gained global recognition for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and high-performance watercraft, making it a favourite among thrill-seekers and environmentally conscious adventurers alike.

The brief

Fliteboard hadn't seen any growth in organic traffic in the U.S. since early 2023. They engaged us to develop a strategy through an SEO retainer, aiming to boost their organic visibility and traffic, with a specific focus on the 'eFoil' topics.

How we helped

We began the SEO retainer in May 2023, taking an integrated approach to maximize opportunities across all key SEO pillars: Content, Technical, and Link Earning.

Content:
Our primary focus was building topical authority around "eFoil" by creating a dedicated content hub. This ensured that Flite became a trusted and relevant source of information within this niche.

Technical:
We addressed several technical issues, including fixing duplicate content problems, implementing schema markup improvements, adapting copy to American English, and optimizing the Shopify platform for better performance.

Link Earning:
We developed a strategy centered on redirecting legacy URLs, claiming unlinked brand mentions, and conducting a competitor backlink audit to guide the Flite team toward link-building opportunities.
